Walleye Lake Outposts is based out of Kenora in Northwestern Ontario's Sunset Country, approximately
130 Miles Northwest of International Falls Minnesota.
Our Canadian fly-in fishing starts in Kenora and we fly you to our deluxe, remote cottages, accessible only by float plane where you will experience complete fishing privacy and a great angling experience since we are the only outfitter on the lake. Depart from Kenora Air Service docks in a traditional heritage bush plane, manned by experienced bush pilots who are professional, courteous and knowledgeable. After a short flight you'll be landing at our lodge dock where we'll take you to your accommodations. Once you settle in it may be time to hit the water in search of hardy walleye, feisty northern pike, or a trophy smallmouth bass. The good thing about this type of fishing adventure is that you're completely on your own schedule. You can get up early to hit the water for the morning bite or you can have a leisure start if you wish.
Northwest Ontario Fishing
Fishing starts on May 19th and concludes on October 1st. Ontario Walleye fishing heats up in the Spring time and the prime action goes throughout the summer months. You don't want to miss out on this spectacular fishing, so give us a call if you're looking to catch quality Walleye. September produces decent walleye catches and is a good time to come fishing too. Northern Pike are also abundant in our lake and we offer some of the finest Pike fishing Northwest Ontario has to offer. We'll make sure you have everything you need for a successful day on the water. Smallmouth Bass are caught in great numbers June through August. The fish are actively looking for food and ready to strike your favorite lure. The morning and sunset bite are always the most active, but you can catch fish in the middle of the day if you target areas near the shore that have underwater structure.
